*Our facility
Our gym is approximately 3,800 sq.ft and is fully equipped as an artistic gymnastics gym. We are the only gymnastics school that you can flip into the 'Pit' facility and improve your tumbling skills on the long trampoline, which will be arriving soon! We have small shop, juice and snacks are on sale at the front desk, there is a confortable waiting space with free Wi-Fi for parents!
*Our class rules
1. listen to the teachers at all time. 2. Sit or stand quietly while you are waiting. 3. Never give up and keep trying. 4. Sit or stand properly while the teacher is talking to you. 5. Keep all the rules and be a great gymnast.
Our class rules are above. We will stick with them during the training to make our program more meaningful. Children will realize that things seems impossible can be made by a lots of effort/training through gymnastics, and these successful experiences will make children have confidence. Once children know that they can do it if they make effort, they won¡Çt be afraid of making mistakes, and will be more highly motivated. We will do our best to make the class beneficial for all students!
*Our Staffs
*Mr. Shin Nishida (Director & Head instructor) Mr. Nishida was introduced to gymnastics when he was elementary school student in a physical education class. He belonged to gymnastics team and did competitive gymnastics in Toryo High school and Kyoto University of Education for 9 years in total. He won several competitions and participated in the 56th All Japan Inter-College Championships in 2002. He also served as a coach in competitor¡Çs training course at Osaka Gymnastics Club in Japan for several years and gave instruction to ages 3 to 10. The students who received instruction participated in various competitions and achieved excellent results.
He came to Jamaica July 2004 as a JOCV (Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteer) to support the recreational program and men¡Çs competitive program for advanced gymnasts at ISHIMOTO School of Gymnastics. In the meantime, he started his recreational program at several prep schools (St. Hugh's Prep, Mona Prep, American International School of Kingston, Rainbow Land, Step by Step etc) as an after school activity. Then Nishida¡Çs Gymnastics & Fitness Center is opened in August 2008 to develop gymnastics program in Jamaica. He also has worked with several primary schools in Kingston and Spanish Town. This program is supported by Jamaica Amateur Gymnastics Association (JAGA), which is the official gymnastics association in Jamaica.
